Anna Gunn

Anna Gunn, an American actor from the United States. Her most well-known role is her role as Skyler White on Breaking Bad, an AMC show Breaking Bad for which she won the Primetime Emmy Award for Outstanding Supporting actress in an Drama Series in 2013 and 2014. She performed the roles of Jean Ward and Martha Bullock, respectively, in The Practice. Anna Gunn grew up in Sante Fe New Mexico and fell in adore with acting when she was in Preparatory School. At the end of the 70's, she and her family moved to Ohio. She studied theatre in the theatre department at Northwestern University and spent a period studying at the British American Drama Academy. Anna was a part of a couple of seasons performing in Chicago theater before transitioning to film and TV roles. Anna had her biggest break in 1992 when she played Arden in 29 episodes of Down the Shore. Anna continued to be in film as well as TV shows such Seinfeld, NYPD Blue and others up to the late the 1990's. She was then placed in The Practice as Jean Ward. Martha Bullock, a character that she played for a period of two seasons on Deadwood's season two. Skyler was in Breaking Bad (2008). Sully was another of her characters. Gunn appeared on stage in David Schwimmer's Sex With Strangers. The actress starred as Numbered Days, a four-part audio show that premiered in 2022. The romance with Walter White and his wife Skyler is the most prominent element of the story in Breaking Bad with the strained pull on their relationship and eventually its demise mirroring the same arc of Walter White's final years of his life.
